The homestead

Just a few more pictures of life around the homestead, these were also taken last weekend.

What is left of the garden. We had another hard frost this morning, I am scared to look at the damage.

Weekend projects

We finally had some nice weather last weekend and we took full advantage of it to tick off a bunch of projects on our list of stuff to do before the snow flies. It was so nice out and we got so much done I figured I better document it!!

Can you believe it?? We have a lawn!! Better late then never.

Our pepper harvest

The final product

This should keep us warm this winter

Chiva took some time out of her busy day to stop and eat the flowers

The geese are heading out- a sure sign of things to come....

Bob and Ed showed up on Saturday and we put them right to work butchering chickens- gotta earn your keep around here!

We are not sure what Sube is contributing, porch security maybe?

And the most exciting project completed this weekend- we have water!!!

Cletus the fetus

We are pretty sure most of you have seen this aready but Julie encouraged me to do this blog as a way to share baby photos and this is our first one. We are not going to find out the gender but their is some betting going on and I think "boy" is in the lead. If that is true then we can keep the name Cletus :)
This was taken at about 4 months, I am at 5 and half months right now. Just bought my first pair of maternity pants last week- they are super comfy! I wish I had them before I was pregnant.

July in Vermont

Memorial day weekend

We spent our one year anniversary with Kim and Pual at Matanuska glacier. Amazing how fast the year went by!! We had a terrific weekend hiking, eating wedding cake, chatting by the fire and listening to the boys play their guitars.

The cupcake cake survived a year in the freezer. Thanks April, it was still super yummy especially with all that extra frosting!!

Kim, Pual and Foster

Our well-trained dogs posed for this shot.

Nice view!

Good times!

Red Rocks Canyon

Adrian and Jules (along with the dogs-Caz, Inai and Pela) came to Delta for a visit a couple months ago. We went on a nice day hike south of Delta at Red Rocks Canyon. Good hiking down here we definately plan on going back to do some more exploring.

Manokinak 2006

I was fortunate enough to get laid off from my office job for a few weeks and got to go back out to my favorite delta camp back in June. The weather wasn't so hot but it was good to get back out in the field, hassle some birds and hang out with a great group of old and new friends.

You want me to do WHAT to this goose??

Just another day at the office

Friendly camp swallow

Everyone favorite mode of transportation-the belly boat

Good mom!!
