Latest Wyatt

Wyatt couldn't go through his first hunting season without getting into some camo (thanks Grandpa Bob).

You just can't be happy ALL of the time.

Little bear in a big box.
Boxes are more fun when you share them with a friend.

Wyatt is sooo close to crawling....We just need a few more weeks to get the addition baby safe, so Wyatt is in lock down until WE are ready for him to be crawling :)

Fall

Fall is here....its been really nice but it never lasts long enough. It was actually 25 degrees this morning, lots of frost on the car windshields and even a few tiny snowflakes!!

These pictures were taken a week ago and are already out of date. We had several days of rain and some wind that knocked most of the leaves off the trees. Oh well, as soon as the water is hooked up I feel like winter may be a welcome change of pace. It may be nice to just settle in and relax a bit..but I am sure by December I will be feeling differently.

Video testing

Does it work??

More Progress

Things are moving right along with the addition- thanks to Grandpa. He extended his trip again, he said he is not leaving until he gets a hot shower! If things go as planned he may get one this weekend.

The view from the outside. We still need to stain the siding and get some trim on.

The cabinets are in and we got the countertops the other day too, STILL waiting on the stove and dishwasher...yes, dishwasher!! But the frig and washer and dryer are in. I will have ~16ft of counter space in the new kitchen, that's 14 ft more than I have right now- I am pysched!!

My project was tiling the bathroom..it's done now, well amost. I still need to tile the step by the tub. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Just today I also finished painting the bathroom and dad is working on getting the vanity and sink hooked up.

It was a little tricky getting the washer and dryer hooked up in this small closet- this method was not in the instruction manual!!

My first dryer lint!!!

You may also be wondering about the thing on my finger....Bacon brand band-aid. You will have to ask my friend Deb if your interested in getting some for yourself.

The Great Pumpkin

I know it is a little early for Halloween but in AK the pumpkins must get harvested before the moose and the frost get them. Our nieghbor Eric has put A LOT of time and effort into raising pumpkins. His goal is the giant pumpkin but unfortunately he overdosed his best greenhouse giant with miracle grow and the next best outdoor one got munched by a moose. But depsite all the challenges he got plenty for the nieghborhood kids. They should hold up until Halloween.

Not as big as Eric hoped but still bigger than our little punkin. We didn't figure this outfit would fit Wyatt at Halloween so this was a good occasion to get dressed up in orange.

The gang.

Vacation Delta Style

I don't think any one is going to come visit us after this summer. Here is how grammy spent her summer vacation.

We didn't grow any of our own potatoes this year so Grammy and I headed out to the old potato patch and picked our own...12 cents a pound ain't bad.

We thought we were going to have to dig our own and came prepared with our shovels but it was pretty easy picking. Grammy had never dug potatos before but I don't think she was too upset.

We got a little carried away and ended up picking 80 pounds!! Luckily some other folks pulled up and we gave them 30 pounds of our extras.

I will have to get some of the pics Grammy took too, She did have some fun hanging out with Wyatt. I apparently didn't take my canmera out much during her visit. Grammy is back in WI now. We all miss her already- Thanks for all your help!!!
